I came to software through a lab bench: a biomedical science degree, published virology research, and robotic lab automation, before a decade of building software for markets, medicine, and telemetry. The common thread is systems where being wrong is expensive — trading paths measured in microseconds, patient data behind audit boundaries, incident tooling that on-call engineers bet their night on.
Today that means leading platform observability engineering at Capital One and building PrimeMaxing, a health analytics platform. The projects on this site are chosen to show judgment, not surface area: what the problem was, why it was hard, what I decided — including what I rejected — and what happened.
